Background to the Campaign

Waiting for a flight to take me on a mission overseas, I was using up the hours, before the gate opened, to browse the bookshop. The latest Cookery Books by the “flavour of the month” chefs were there. Really tasty recipes and glossy pictures of the finished meal made my mouth water. Then, further along were the women’s magazines with diet plans, (to remove the excess I had just mentally gained from the enticing food in the cook book.) “Put weight on, then take weight off” seems to be a round-about experience for most and the major problem of the western world.
In the countries where Winning Women Worldwide have been established, the problem is to produce sustainable food supplies in order to maintain life. Here in the UK the problem is different, it is proven that diet regimes are not sustainable over time and most fail. The best idea would be to eat healthy, enjoyable foods this would make any plan sustainable and lifelong. So, it struck me that if we could satisfy our desire to eat well and at the same time help the countries we serve to get food, this would be a good thing to do. EAT WELL – FEED THE WORLD ……… was born.
